1. How long are your tours?
Our regular tours run two to 2-1/2 hours. Custom tours are tailored to a mutually agreed length.
2. Seattle has many hills. Are there a lot of hills on your tours?
Tours are planned to avoid major hills, we want everyone to be able to participate, so we carefully plan our routes to be mainly hill free. We can of course, plan a special trip for those that are comfortable with hilly rides. Our Bainbridge Island tour does have some very good hills, but we urge riders get off their bike and walk when the hills are to big. Often our guide will come with walk with you!!
3. What times of the day do tours take place?
The best times we find to start are at 10:00AM and at 1:30 PM, this allows for participants to work in any meals they may already have scheduled, and also avoids the main rush hours. We also have longer rides on Saturday mornings, or can build a custom ride for your desired time frame.
4. What types of bicycles do you provide?
Our standard bicycle is a 21 speed KHS commuter bike complete with a rear rack, fenders, flat platform pedals, a comfortable seat and a charming bicycle bell.
5. Do tours include helmets?
Yes, we follow local laws which require helmet use, and also believe that helmets are necessary for proper bicycle riding.
6. What is the charge for your tours?
Our standard tour includes; bicycle, helmet and tour guide. To see our offered rides and pricing go to our booking page for current pricing and taxes. For custom tours of longer periods of time, or ones that include planning in a special request, we charge according to number of participants, itinerary, and length of time Our typical group ranges from one to twelve riders. But we can accommodate larger groups too.
7. What happens if it rains?
In most cases, we ride anyway. Our guides bring along ponchos during the rainy season and are happy to pull over whenever the the occasional downpour occurs. We will be in contact just prior to our meeting to discuss meeting and weather specifics.
8. What if we need to cancel our scheduled tour?
Our cancellation policy requires a minimum 24 hour advance notice for a cancellation of your ride. For cancellations within 24 hours, or for no shows we charge 100% of your paid fees. For cancellations of more than 24 hours we will try to reschedule. Otherwise, see our cancellation policy page for cancellation fees
9. Do you plan custom tours?
Absolutely. We love to put tours together that fit the need of your group. Are you showing a special someone around town? Celebrating a birthday or anniversary? Want to pass by all the places that sell chocolate? We will work with you to put a memorable trip together .
