I love the concept of these two english villages of Maidstone and Oundle both taken around in the very early 1900's. Imagine the quietness of this place. Are there more bicycles than cars or wagons in the streets?
It is a long way down the hill without a road. This is in Seattle where the November 07' rains washed almost the entire width of a two lane road that leads down to Golden Gardens park from NW 85th street. The gray metal piece along the top of the photo is the guard rail, the two posts hanging from that are the posts that used to anchor the guard rail into the ground. except now, there isn't any ground. Happily for hill climbing fools, this stretch of road was re-opened in January 2009.
