On of the first rules about shipping a bicycle is learning how to pack it for safety. If you are shipping via a major airline, you should know about the 62/50 rule. The box cannot measure more that 62" in total when adding the combined length, width, and height of the box together.
L + W + H = 62" (158 centimeters)
That same box cannot weight more than 50 pounds. (22.5Kilograms)
If either of these measurements are exceeded, the airlines might not allow you box on the plane, and if they do, they will charge you much more. See our
